I was in a Twitter conversation yesterday with some folks…

This is the tweet that started the whole thread:

The fact that the guy flip-flopped his stance to agree with someone else is what caught my attention…lol. Either he flip-flopped, or he has no clue that the DPRK IS North Korea…

Their statements to the fact that the United States is responsible for the problem that is North Korea sparked my entrance into the discussion. When asked how they came to that conclusion, they replied that the defeat of North Korea in 1953 is the reason why they are so militant now.

I asked them why they didn’t hold the folks who started said war responsible (that would be North Korea themselves because they preemptively attacked into South Korea.) They responded that the U.S. should have just kept their nose out being as it was none of their business.

I told them that the North Koreans MADE it our business when they commenced to shooting at Americans. They responded that the Americans shouldn’t have been there to begin with.

I responded that if we left things alone and let South Korea handle it, there would BE no South Korea now. They responded that is as it should be. A remark was, then, made that there are some South Koreans that would probably disagree to which they said that those people just don’t know what is best for them.

They said that the government that was in North Korea had established itself better than the one in South Korea, therefore, it is the only legitimate one. The will of the South Koreans not wanting to be subject to the North Koreans was out of line.

So I asked them if they viewed the United States as illegitimate being as we decided that we did not want to remain under British rule. Per their logic, this makes sense. They said they DID feel that the United States, as a country, was illegitimate.

But they said the North Koreans had ESTABLISHED themselves better during WWII and the five years that followed, which led to their legitimacy. And per that logic, the United States, having established itself for almost a century as a world leader, IS legitimate. So, which way is it?

They went on to say how the Americans were the bad guys because we bombed the snot out of North Korea and killed a lot of people. I pointed out that all that COULD have been avoided by North Korea NOT invading South Korea. I mean, SOMEONE in North Korea HAD to have said something like, “y’all see what they did to Japan…sure we wanna do this?” Someone else probably said, “here, hold my beer.”

My logic is, if you don’t want to be hospitalized by Mike Tyson, don’t throw a jab at him…easy peasy. President Truman was like, “I see your attack on the little ol’ South Koreans and our American Soldiers in South Korea and I’ll raise you the 1st Marine Division.”

They making statements to the effect that, if we had ‘left well enough alone’, North Korea would be in better shape…like Cuba and Vietnam…hmmmm.

I finally asked:

The leftist in our country are not even pretending anymore!

These are Americans making these claims y’all…keep that in mind. I’m tellin’ ya, these people are not firing on all eight cylinders! They ignore history when it doesn’t line up with the way they want things to be.

This person is convinced that all of the communist countries that exist and HAVE existed are success stories! You just can’t make this stuff up!

I have been thinking about this since yesterday and gave landed on the following:

I will, being as I am a nice guy, voluntarily help @StarstormLeft sell her house and her car (if she doesn’t want to take it with her.) She can pick any other country on the face of the planet she wishes to move to. I will pony up the cash for the plane ticket OUT of this country that she feels is so horrible to whichever utopia she chooses to go to. I will even give her a ride to the airport.

Return airfare is NOT included as she will understandably agree to never return to this hellhole called the United States of America. I mean, if North Korea, Vietnam, Venezuela and Cuba are such dreams to her, why would she EVER choose to come back HERE?!

Now that that is done, I need to decide what I am going to eat for dinner (if I decide not to partake of the groceries at the house) because their is a seemingly endless array of choices for me…the fact that that array exists has something to do with capitalism I think.

Y’all stay safe and keep a round in the chamber.
